About the Company
TEXORD Ltd was founded by Andrew Marshall MBE, a Royal Navy Clearance Diver veteran with 27 years' experience in land and maritime explosive ordnance disposal (EOD). Holding NATO EOD qualifications 0801 (Advanced EOD Operator) and 0808 (Advanced Underwater EOD), alongside experience in First Aid, Diving Medical technician and enhanced training from the Institute of Naval Medicine (INM), Andrew founded TEXORD Ltd to bring the same rigour, discipline, and technical competence developed over a Royal Navy career to the private sector — providing UK organisations with specialist explosive ordnance risk management they can rely on.
The company was formed to fill a clear gap: as offshore wind expansion and land redevelopment continue to uncover legacy and modern ordnance across the UK, developers and contractors need EOD expertise that is both technically credible and genuinely independent. TEXORD Ltd was built to meet that need, backed by a comprehensive management system developed in-house and structured in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 principles from day one.

What we deliver:
-
UXO/EOD Risk Management (Land and Marine) — desk-based research, non-intrusive survey, risk assessment, and clearance of unexploded ordnance, covering both historic (WWI/WWII) and modern ordnance.
-
Commercial Diving Support — diving operations in support of UXO investigation and clearance, and general commercial diving work, compliant with the Diving at Work Regulations 1997.
-
Offshore UXO Client Representative Services — independent technical oversight and monitoring for offshore wind and marine infrastructure developers requiring UXO risk assurance during construction.
-
First Aid Training and Certification — accredited first aid courses including First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, BLS & AED, and Oxygen Therapy Administration, delivered flexibly at client premises or nearby venues across the South West.
Whether working offshore, on a construction site, or in a training room, TEXORD Ltd brings the same standard: precise, safety-led, and built on genuine operational experience.
Certifications and membership
MOD Advanced EOD Operator
Fully qualified MoD 0801 Advanced EOD Operator, recognised to NATO standards to conduct Conventional Munition Disposal (CMD) against modern and historic UXO. This qualification is commensurate with the competency requirements of IMAS Level 3+ as detailed in T&EP 09.30/01/2014. IMAS 3+ enables the operator to act against UXO with a Net Explosive Quantity (NEQ) exceeding 50kg, against land based UXO as stipulated in IMAS 09.30.
MOD 0808 Advanced Underwater EOD, recognised to NATO standards. This qualification exceeds the requirements of IMAS 09.30, adding the underwater competencies required under IMAS 09.60 — underwater demolition procedures, search and recovery equipment and techniques, disposal methods, and environmental mitigation. Even ordnance classified under 09.30 requires 09.60 competency once EOD action is to be conducted underwater, making this qualification necessary for underwater EOD action of any kind in underwater maritime environment and for underwater demolitions.

CSCS H&S Accredited for site work
TEXORD Ltd personnel hold a valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme), providing recognised proof of the training, competence, and health & safety awareness required to work safely on UK construction sites. As UXO and EOD works are frequently carried out alongside principal contractors on live construction, demolition, and infrastructure sites, holding a current CSCS card ensures TEXORD Ltd can gain site access and integrate into a client's workforce without delay, in line with standard site induction and competency requirements.
Member of the IExpE
TEXORD Ltd is a member of the Institute of Explosives Engineers (IExpE), the UK's professional body for explosives engineering. Membership is only granted to individuals who meet defined standards of technical competence and professional conduct, giving clients independent assurance that our work is carried out to recognised industry standards — not just judged by our own claims. It reflects TEXORD's ongoing commitment to professional development and best practice across all EOD/UXO activities.
